The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association has its National Trainers’ Show on the move again. In what can only be considered a crazy year, the National Trainers’ Show was supposed to be held March 19-21 at Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville. And then the coronavirus came to wreck all sports including the Trainers’ Show.

The trainers, after postponing their show, decided to move the show to the fall calendar but with an already packed schedule had to take a late November date.  The show was rescheduled for November 19-21st. And then the coronavirus struck the schedule again. The North Carolina Championships, scheduled for October 8-10, 2020 in Fletcher, NC, was forced to cancel their show, a big blow to the walking horse calendar’s ever popular Asheville, NC visit.

The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association saw the opportunity to fill the vacant spot on the calendar and knew an October date was far more popular than late November. The board voted and will host the 52nd Annual National Trainers’ Show October 8-10, 2020 at Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, Tenn.
