Monday, October 12, 2009
Rising Star Ranch has named Ricky Womack as the manager of its breeding division. Womack brings a wealth of experience, having managed some of the industry’s most prominent stallions at Womack Stables at Glen Oaks Farms in Murfreesboro, Tenn. for the past 15 years. Among those stallions is Gen’s Armed and Dangerous, now standing at RSR, whose career Womack launched in 1994, following Armed’s World Grand Championship.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ricky to our program. His experience and expertise with stallion management as well as promotion are sure to be an asset to our team. We also welcome his customers and the great additions to our stallion lineup,” said Frank Eichler.
Joining Womack in the RSR stallion lineup will be World Champions Hard Texas Cash and Pushover’s Powerstroke. These two stallions will round out RSR’s lineup which includes A Strong Dollar, Gen’s Armed and Dangerous, Generator’s Silver Dollar, Late Night Jazz, Main Power, Master’s Gunsmoke, Midnight At The Ritz, Ozone’s Cut Above All, Pushing Hard Cash, Really, Simply Dangerous, Ted Williams, The Silver Bandit, and The Stonecutter.
“I am excited to join the RSR breeding program,” said Womack. “I appreciate the opportunity to manage such a great lineup of stallions and look forward to working with all of the stallion owners, and breeding staff.” Womack went on to say “I appreciate the support of my customers at Womack Stables and hope to continue those relationships at RSR with the merging of these two operations.” Womack joins breeding office manager Tanya Hopper and assistant Beverly Lamp.
