Country Pleasure Request for Comment:

The NHSC requests your comments through September 29, 2008 on a proposal that would, at the discretion of Show Management, add a canter to the Country Pleasure Class.

Effective immediately the following penalty has been added:

A flat shod horse that will not lead freely and reacts to hoof testing [on both front feet] will receive a penalty of 30 days for the first offense, 60 days for the second offense, and 90 days for each offense thereafter.  Failing only one of these tests will result in disqualification from the class and a letter of warning to the trainer for the first offense, and for the second offense, a mandatory meeting before the NHSC Executive Vice President with penalty to be determined as set forth in Rule IX, Section E of the NHSC Rule Book [page 132].
