Joe Douglas Shelton 76 of Glasgow died Friday February 23, 2008 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. Born in Barren County the son of the late Frank Shelton and Lena Carver Shelton. He was married to the late Barbara Jean Owens and was very well known in the walking horse and cattle industry. Joe was a farmer and member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters Frankie Jo Bradley and Billie Shelton both of Glasgow; 1 brother Jack Shelton (Geraldine) of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Ashley Shelton and Jarrett Bradley both of Glasgow; Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers Wayne, Guy, Wendle and Britten Shelton and a step grandson Brian Bradley.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday February 25, 2008 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Sunday at the Funeral Home.
