Obituary – Ralph Bartley "Push" Combs

Ralph Bartley "Push" Combs, 79, of Salt Lick, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2021, at his Residence. He was born April 14, 1945, in Hindman, Kentucky, to the late Townsel Combs and Imalee Draughn Combs.
Ralph dedicated many hours of his time to his farm, horses, and more importantly to his family who he cherished most of all. He worked many years as manager of Combs and Draughn Furniture. He was a former volunteer fire fighter, as well as a member of the Jaycees and Kiwanis Club. He also enjoyed attending the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration held each year in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sturdivant Combs, two daughters, Ambie (Ira) Kilburn and Hillary (Tony) Lewis of Salt Lick, three grandchildren, Caleb (Hannah) Kilburn, Quentin Lewis, and Elese Lewis, as well as one great-grandchild, Graham Kilburn. Ralph also leaves behind two nephews, David Townsel Combs and Patrick Combs, and one niece, Tanya Dobson, who will hold cherished memories of his warmth and kindness.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Dillis Combs; and one sister, Connie Sue Combs.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home In Owingsville is after 5:00PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
A brief celebration of life service will be held in the chapel of Hindman Funeral Services in Hindman, Kentucky at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.
Burial will follow in the Townsel Combs Cemetery at Leburn, Kentucky.
Pallbearers include, Caleb Kilburn, Quentin Lewis, Martin Cox, David Combs, Patrick Combs, Ira Kilburn, Elese Lewis, and Konnor Begley.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Jeff Draughn, Chris Draughn, Wayne Dobson, Tim Kilburn, and Doug Jones.
Contributions are suggested to the Bath County Middle School Backpack Program in care of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
