William "Bill" Thomas Brady, 85, of Byhalia, MS, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch, MS. The funeral service will be held the following day on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Bro. Oscar Geeslin of Meadow Brook Baptist Church will officiate. The graveside service will be held at Fountainhead Cemetery.
Bill was born on July 18, 1938, in Ingrams Mill, MS. He grew up and built his life in Olive Branch. He graduated from Olive Branch High School, Class of 1956.
Bill served our country honorably in the U.S. Army National Reserve. Bill was self-employed as a farrier for his entire life. He was a member of the Mississippi Walking Horse Association, as well as being in the Mississippi Walking Horse Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Farrier of the Year for multiple years. After retiring, he loved to shoot pool and owned Brady's Pool Hall for roughly 30 years. In his free time, he loved to crappie fish, shoot pool, play golf and mow the lawn. Bill was an avid card player. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be missed greatly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen Gray Brady and Arthur Lee Brady.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Lynn Brady-Tipton (Rick) of Byhalia, MS; sons, Lee Brady (Helen) of Byhalia, and Larry Thomas Brady (Leslie) of Holly Springs, MS; granddaughters, Hailey Brady-Sawyer (Colton) of Holly Springs, Lauren Grace Brady of Olive Branch, and Lindsey Anne Brady of Byhalia; grandson, Logan Thomas Brady (Riley) of Holly Springs; and former spouse, Joyce Brady of Tomball, TX.
In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Fountainhead Cemetery Association. Checks may be delivered to Lee Brady.
