United We Stand Horse Show announced for Tunica
Friday, May 20, 2022
There’s a new show being planned for Tunica, Mississippi thanks to the efforts of several industry organizations including the Foundation for the Advancement and Support of the Tennessee Walking Show Horse (FAST), The Celebration, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) and the Walking Horse Trainers’ Association (WHTA). The United We Stand Horse Show is scheduled for November 10-12 at the Paul Battle, Jr. Arena. Profit from last year’s Resource Directory, produced by TWHBEA and WHTA, is being used for seed money for the new show.
Thom Meek, who has led the development effort on behalf of TWHBEA, says the show has four objectives, “produce a fun show to end the season, bring industry organizations together in a spirit of unity, raise money for the industry’s legal defense fund, and support the show circuit outside of Middle Tennessee.”
Plans for the event are in the early stages, so stay tuned for more details to be released in the coming weeks.
