Owingsville Lions Club Horse Show offers $1,000 incentives

The Owingsville Lions Club will be held Friday and Saturday, July 8 & 9, in Owingsville, Ky. Judges will be Johnny Puckett and Rodney Dick. The show will start at 6:00 pm. There are 62 classes for Walking Horses and Racking Horses with both pleasure and performance divisions.

PAST Act – USDA Rulemaking Updates

The PAST Act will go through a markup in its subcommittee on Thursday June 23, 2022. This action will most likely move the PAST Act out of subcommittee and on to the full committee for additional consideration. This move is not unexpected as it follows the subcommittee hearing held a couple weeks ago where the PAST Act was discussed.

Marshall County Horseman's Association revises class schedule

The Marshall County Horseman's Association Horse Show, scheduled for Friday, July 22, will split the Amateur Two-Year-Old class. Class 27 will be Amateur Two-Year-Old Mares 27A will be Amateur Two-Year-Old Stallions and Geldings. The show will feature a total of 33 classes including eight Riders' Cup classes. Equine Obituary – I'm Armed And Lethal

I’m Armed And Lethal passed away on April 30, 2022. Affectionately known as Lethal, the sorrel stallion was owned and loved by Carolyn Rutner of Northport, Alabama. In 2006, he carried Carolyn Rutner to her first blue ribbon at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration earning the Owner-Amateur Lady Riders on Show Pleasure World Championship under the direction of Jack Way.
